Creating Campaigns
A campaign is a targeted email outreach to businesses in a specific industry and location. Here's how to create one.
A campaign is how you tell ThanksImHired who to contact. You define the type of job you're looking for, the industry, and the city — then the platform finds matching local businesses and generates personalized emails for each one.
What Makes a Good Campaign?
The more specific your campaign, the better the results:
- Specific job title — "Graphic Designer" works better than "Creative"
- Specific location — "Manchester" rather than "UK"
- Relevant industry — target industries that actually hire your role
Creating a New Campaign
Go to New Campaign
From your dashboard, click Campaigns in the sidebar, then click New Campaign.
Enter your job title
Type the specific role you're looking for. This is used to personalise the emails the AI writes.
Select an industry
Choose the industry sector you want to target. For example, if you're a graphic designer, you might target "Marketing & Advertising" or "Retail".
Set your location
Enter the city or region where you want to find businesses. The more specific, the better — "Birmingham City Centre" will find different businesses than "Birmingham".
Choose your send rate
Set how many emails to send per day. The maximum is 50 per connected Gmail account. A lower rate (20–30/day) looks more natural and gives you time to respond to replies.
Upload your resume
Attach your CV as a PDF. The AI reads your resume to personalise each email — mentioning your specific experience where relevant.
Review and launch
Click Continue to Review to see a preview of the campaign before anything sends.
