Getting Started
Learn how ThanksImHired finds local businesses and sends personalized cold emails on your behalf — and land a job that was never posted.
What is ThanksImHired?
ThanksImHired is an AI-powered job search tool that helps you reach hiring managers before jobs are ever posted.
Here's how it works:
- You tell us what you're looking for — job title, industry, and location
- We find local businesses that might need someone like you using Google Maps data
- AI writes personalized emails for each business based on your resume
- Emails send from your own Gmail at a safe rate of 50 per day
Most jobs are filled through networking and direct outreach — not job boards. ThanksImHired automates the cold email process so you can tap into this hidden job market without spending hours writing individual emails.
What You'll Need
Before you can start a campaign, you'll need:
- A Gmail account to send emails from (can be your personal Gmail or a dedicated job-search one)
- A Google App Password so ThanksImHired can send on your behalf (we'll walk you through this)
- Your resume as a PDF to personalise the AI-generated emails
Quick Start
Connect your Gmail
Go to Dashboard → Settings and add your Gmail account with an app password. Full guide →
Create your first campaign
Go to Dashboard → Campaigns → New Campaign and fill in your target role, industry, and location. How campaigns work →
Review the AI-generated emails
After the AI generates emails, review them in the campaign review screen before anything sends.
Watch the emails go out
ThanksImHired sends up to 50 emails per day from your Gmail — no spam, no bulk tools. Just direct, personal outreach.
Why Cold Email Works
Most job seekers compete on job boards where hundreds of people apply to the same roles. ThanksImHired takes a different approach: find businesses that might need someone with your skills, and reach out before they even think about posting a job.
A short, well-targeted email from a proactive job seeker stands out. ThanksImHired handles the research and writing — you just hit send.
